Backup and disaster recovery
A backup you've never restored from is a hope, not a plan. We back up servers, laptops and cloud data to immutable storage, test restores every month, and keep a recovery runbook written for South Florida weather.
What’s included
- Immutable backups
- Copies that can't be altered or deleted for a set period, so ransomware can't take your backups down with your servers.
- Three copies, two media, one off-site
- Your data lives in three places on two kinds of storage, with one copy in data centers outside Florida.
- Cloud data backup
- Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace mail, files and chat backed up independently of the vendor.
- Restore testing
- We restore files and full systems on a schedule and send you the results.
- Disaster recovery
- For critical servers, a standby copy that can run in the cloud while your office is dark.
- Hurricane runbook
- A written, rehearsed plan for the days before a storm and the hours after it: shutdown order, power, internet failover and staff access.
A good fit if
- Your backups sit on a drive next to the server they protect.
- Nobody has tested a restore in the past year.
- Last hurricane season, you weren't sure what to unplug.
Questions we hear
How fast can we recover?
We agree on recovery targets for each system with you, then design to meet them. Individual files come back in minutes; a full server can be running in the cloud within hours.
Where is our data stored?
In encrypted, immutable storage in data centers outside Florida, so a storm that reaches your office can't also reach your backups.
What do you do when a hurricane watch is issued?
We follow your runbook: confirm final backups, verify cloud failover, test remote access with your staff, then shut down on-site equipment in the right order before the warning.
